Stefan Voigt
 With the eyes of the economist of institutions Prof.
Stefan Voigt looks at different time cultures as a result of different
time horizons of the actors involved, donors and recipients, and the
deadlines established in institutions. A central concept therein is the
preference for the present, i.e. the question in how far current returns
are given up in favor of future expected returns.

About the Author
Prof. Dr. Stefan Voigt, born in 1962, he studied in
Freiburg/Br. and was a guest visitor at several US universities. In 1997
he habilitated on economic explanations of constitutional change. From
2000 until 2002 he was professor in Bochum. Since then he holds the Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Wirtschaftspolitik in
Kassel. Prof. Voigt currently works on New Economics of Institutions
(NIÖ).
