MISEREOR, the overseas development agency of the Catholic
Church in Germany, helps the poorest of the poor. Together with local
partners, we support people of every creed, culture and skin color. Every
human lives in dignity and can develop his talents freely and according to
his own capacity: this command holds also and especially when this human
lives in the slums of Latin America, Asia or Africa and the reality of his
life misses this goal by far. With Misereor people in Germany take upon
themselves the challenge of this command and realize these goals – human
by human – especially where poverty and repression have crushed all
hope.
